Frequently Asked Questions 〰️

What does working with you look like?

  • After you contact me, I will send you a few questions to better understand your business. These will help identify pain points and keep your design goals at the forefront of our conversation when we meet.

    1. What does your business do and who are your target clients?

    2. What problem does your business solve for clients or how does it improve their lives?

    3. What does your visual identity need?/ What problems is your business having? (ex: want to increase donations, website is not functioning, need a new logo, etc.)

    4. What are 3-5 adjectives that describe your business?

    5. Are there any specific colors or details you want your brand/logo/website to have?

    6. What does success for your business look like for you?

  • We would have a FREE 30-minute call and discuss what you need. Once I am clear on your goals and what problems need to be solved, I send you a personalized proposal outlining the project scope and cost. This takes about 2 business days after the initial meeting.

  • After you accept the proposal, I ask for a 10% deposit on the project. Once I receive the deposit, I begin on the project. Timelines are specific to each project and client.

  • I usually meet with my clients at least once throughout the duration of the project. The full timeline is specific to each project. After a meeting half-way through our discussed timeline, I ask for a deposit of 50% of the remaining amount.

  • I send you the designs and you provide feedback. This stage includes another 30-minute call (optional, but recommended) to review the designs together. You’ll unlimited revisions to make sure the design is truly solving your problems.

  • Once you are happy with the design, I will send you the invoice for your final 50% deposit. Once it’s paid, you’ll receive an organized folder of all of the final files. If any issues arise, I am always here to answer any questions after the project is completed!

  • How do I know if my website needs an audit or a redesign?

If you are a small business owner and your website feels outdated or isn’t converting or being found online, you are probably wondering if you need an audit or a full redesign.

If you just need one or two of the following, you probably just need an audit:

    - Basic layout, typeface, color palette

    - Keyword updates for SEO and AIO

    - Make sure all buttons/forms work

If you answer “No” to any of the following questions, you need a redesign:

    - Do the aesthetics of your website match your other brand material (social media, business cards, pamphlets, signage)?

    - Do you have SEO best practices implemented on your site?

    - Does your site work well and load quickly on mobile devices?

    - Is your website generating calls, emails, or leads?

    - Are you able to easily make small updates to your site on your own?

  • "How much do you charge?"

I price each project independently because everyone’s needs look a bit different. If pricing is a concern, let me know what your budget is and I will work within that! For more information, view my Pricing Page, which gives my Base Prices per project (they are subject to change and additional fees depending on scope of work)

  • "I think I just need a logo but I don't know...?"

Chances are if you don’t have a logo, you need a lot more than just a logo! But designing a logo is a great place to start. I will also design a logo, color palette, and brand manual as a starting point, which will allow you to move forward with a visual “cheat sheet” for how to design marketing collateral going forward!

  • “I need a logo for my business. Can you make me one?”

Absolutely! This is the number one question I get asked. A lot of my clients are small business owners who have little to no visual identity. Your logo is the first point of communication you have with clients, before someone even visits your website or walks in your door. It is the first thing your clients will see on your social media, website, or on your signage. I am here to create a logo that is not only eye-catching, but sends a message to your potential clients! I strongly encourage a 30 minute consultation (this is FREE!) for all logo-design clients so I can get to know you and your business before I get started with a design.

  • “Could you help me with my website?"

Yes! Websites are tricky and require significant maintenance, and as a business owner, updating the website is probably not your first priority! I’m here to help you with a few things:

    1) Redesign your website so that it’s aesthetic, identifiable with your business, and makes it easy for your potential clients to get in touch with you.

    2) Optimize your SEO and make sure users can find everything they need to know about you on your site.

    3) Figure out what YOU need to be able to keep up with your website in the future. For some, this means I update their site for them periodically. For others, I provide a manual with directions on how to do simple updates quickly and on their own.

If you are a business owner who does not have a lot of experience in web design, I recommend Squarespace! If you have an existing site on a different platform, it’s worth it to make the switch. If that doesn’t work for you, we can work on whatever existing site you have!
